Veterans Services
The Richland County Veterans Services Office would like to invite you to the office located on the second floor of the Richland County Courthouse. Office hours of operation are 0830 to 1630 and we encourage both appointments and walk-ins. One of our goals is for every Veteran in the county to come in to the office annually and check in to what’s new in the system.
The office serves Veterans, Service members, Wounded Warriors, their family members, and their authorized caregivers. Our goal is to provide a courteous, professional service to our eligible veterans and their families. Our role is to assist them with the applications to any federal, state, and local benefits to which they may be eligible for under law and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
DD214’s are a type of vital record that you should keep safe at all times. There are a few ways to do that and here’s what we recommend. Register your document with the Register of Deeds office, and another copy to the Veterans Service Office. Doing this is not only recommended for Veterans but still serving military as well.
The links located on the right side are links to pages Veterans should know about. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with them. In the near future, the Veterans Service will have a public access computer for Veterans to utilize for looking at their own forms and tracking their claims.
We are here to serve you!
